Cup of cappuccino: what do we pay for?

Coffee is a popular drink made from roasted seeds of the coffee fruit and is one of the most important commodities in the World. Coffee is a significant export product for the economy of many countries, including Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. However, it is well known that the commodity cost usually represent the smallest part of the final price, even when it’s the most important part of the product itself. According to reporter Sherri Day, coffee growers only get $0.035 from a cappuccino cup, an Italian beverage prepared with coffee and milk. On the other hand, shop rent, marketing, and general administration make up $1.29 of its price, which is 37 times bigger than the cost with coffee growers. The expenses with coffee growers represent about 0.9%. In contrast, costs with rent and marketing are 34% and are only smaller than expenses with employees that represent 36% of the cappuccino price (“New York Times” 29 Nov. 2003: B1).

According to this data, the cost of coffee growers is extremely low compared with others. When you focus on just people who concerns to make a cup of coffee, coffee growers is only 0.9%($0.035) though their fees make up about 41% of all. Its cost is only one-forty of labor costs and one-five of the cost of coffeemillers or im-exporters. Worse, it's lower than the cost of cup, $0.07. One of the reason is that coffee beans are mostly made in developing country. As an importing country decides the price, farmers can't receive sufficient pay no matter how hard they work. In stead, as you can see the shop rent, $1.29 has the second highest rate, a landowner is supposed to earn extremely much money. The best two places in my country

In my country, Seoul, Korea , there are lots of good place to sightseeing. And there are two places which you must visit, one is Myung-dong and the other is NamSan(Nam mountain). First Myung-dong is a big shopping town. Men and women of all ages can buy everything which they need and want. Especially when young people can buy things they want very easily. Besides the price of stuffs is not expensive and there are many discount shops. So you can go shopping with little concern about money. Next one is Nam -san. It is the most famous mountain in Korea. Becuase you can see the view of seoul at the top. Also there is Namsan tower at the top of mountain. In the tower you can go great restaurent as well as see the view. And there is a cable car which go to the top so you don't have to worry about climbing the mountain.

A beatiful place to visit, Torres del Paine Park in Chile

If you like the outdoors activities, amazing landscapes and wildlife, you should visit national park torres del paine. First of all Torres del Paine park is located in the south of Chile at north of Puerto Natales ( 70 km) and covered 2.400 km2. Next, you could see beautiful landscape, for example de iconic torres del Paine, Los Cuernos del Paine, Glaciar Grey, many lakes and other beautiful views. Then native flora and fauna like as Guanacos, cougars and foxes and also the endangered Chilean Huemul. Furthermore, the park contains 15 species of birds. In the third point, you can do a lot of different activities such as fishing, climbing, natural trail walking, river activities, wildlife observation among other activities. Finally the park has a different kinds of services like as ranger station and control huts, camping areas, hotels, picnic areas, shelter and camps and restaurants whit typical food.

As you immerse yourself the exploration of this valley, you will enjoy your peace of mind, taking worldly matters off your mind, and that is the spirit of the Chinese.

A place a visitor to my country should not miss – Bahia

A place a visitor to my country should not miss is the Southeast State of Bahia, the region that the fleet led by Pedro Alvares Cabral arrived in 1500, marking the discovery of Brazil. It was one of the most economically important colonies in the period of Portuguese rule and its capital, Salvador, was the first capital of Brazil. Consequently, Bahia has a rich cultural history, which includes historic buildings, crafts, literature and arts. It is also the Brazilian state where Catholic and African traditions blended the most, giving birth to a rich culture. Futhermore, it is known as the "Land of Happiness" because of its happy people and festive events that will keep tourists entertained throughout the year. Finally, Bahia is a land of incredible natural beauty. It has a beautiful coastline, the largest in Brazil, and it has the Chapada Diamantina and the Reconcavo, regions of the state that represents its remarkable geographic and climatic features.

The place in Japan the visitor shouldn't miss

If you want to see especially Japan of 'today', Shibuya in Tokyo must be the best place. It is always bustling with lots of fashion buildings and people until midnight. At first you'll be surprised the unique Japanese young people. You can see many fashinable girls called "Gyaru" who are dressing up and decorating too much like a doll. Besides, it's good to enjoy Japanese comics at comic cafe open 24 hours. Today Japanese anime is highly popular in the world. Most Japanese like karaoke, so you can sing at cheap Karaoke box with private singing rooms. As a souvenir, I recommend to take "purikura(print club)" at the game center. Japanese one is really develoved so your eyes printed bigger, your skin more beautiful. In addition, there are some stages performed by popular comedians with Japanese comedy talk or short comedy. As a result, Shibuya is an entertainment and energish city in Japan.

There are many kinds of advertising and we can contact with it very easily. For example, there are lots of advertisements by television or other visual media. Whenever we watch TV , we can get them easily. Almost these advertisements consist of images and sound. Also wehn we read magazines or newspaper, we can see various advertisements. These are composed of only images. In addition, we can encounter advertising, when we are walking, taking a bus or subway.

Word Processor

Imagine if there are no word processors in the world, chances are the publication of books would be as hard as it was hundreds of years ago. In the earlier days of word processors, people invented them only for the purpose of editing texts. If there was something misprinted in a book, the book had to be printed again. Also, back then there was no spell checker, and when people made a copy of a book it was so easy for people to make a lot mistakes in spelling. Finally, because of no spell checker, people had to double check a book before it was printed, and it took much time and energy as well. Today, word processors have more functions than before, and without word processors, writers might not be able to publish their books as easily as possibly.

Advertising

Advertising has been the way that uses the companies to communicate what are they doing and how they want to the customers like to see it. Publicity shows the principal features and uses, therefore shows how their goods or services add value to the customers. There are also many kinds of media which are used depending the products concerned and what things want to make the managers to meet the goals of the company. The principal medias are newspaper, all kinds of magazines, TVs , radios, and web pages, because these are more effective way to comunicate with the specific target.

We're brainwashed by advertising in everyday life, especially through commecials. A good example is commercials about shampoo or conditioner. It uses a lots of computer graffic and leads us to believe we can get such beautiful hair if we use it. Also most companies want to use a famous popular talent or actor. Morover, the package must be attractive to catch the customer's interest. To implement these strategies, it costs a lot. I've heard from one beautician that one Japanese comapany "Shiseido"spends a lot more money to advertise and package than on the content itself. What I want to say is, a comapany can lead us consumers the way they want. We should ask ourselves"Is this really good and essential to me?"
